Former two-time UFC women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas will seemingly make her second flyweight appearance on March 23. That’s according to a report from MMA Hoje and Brazilian MMA outlet Combate.
According to the reports, Namajunas will face No. 9 ranked Amanda Ribas.
The former strawweight champions manager, Brian Butler recently claimed that we can expect Namajunas to be back in action sometime during the first six months of 2024.
“She’s going to stay at flyweight,” Butler told MMA Junkie Radio. “You’ll see her first half of this year.”
Namajunas lost her flyweight debut against Manon Fiorot after injuring a finger in the first round.
“If Rose is confident, if Rose’s mind is into it, nobody’s beating her. Like I said, if Rose is on a mission and Rose wants to do something and she’s motivated for it, that’s a problem for everybody.”
