Felipe Lima made his short-notice UFC debut in style a few weeks back. At UFC Saudi Arabia, on June 22, he submitted the tough Muhammad Naimov in the third round and got a $50.000 post-fight bonus.

Visiting Sweden’s leading podcast about fighting, Käftsmällspodden, the bantamweight prospect just revealed that he’s aiming to fight again as soon as possible.

“UFC Paris or UFC Abu Dhabi. In my eyes, those two cards,” Lima said. “My focus is to fight one more time this year for sure. I’m active, no injuries.”

If everything goes to plan, we might see “Jungle Boy” in the octagon again in less than three months.

“I would like to go to Paris in September because it’s close. I haven’t been in Paris so it would be amazing to fight there. We will see if we get a shot.”

Felipe Lima is sure to fight in Paris

Knowing the feeling of being on the sidelines due to injuries and lack of fights, Lima intends to strike while the iron is hot.

“Don’t stop, just go one more fight and fight and fight. That’s what we are going to do, just wait for the fight and be ready. I am almost 100% sure they will give us Paris. They have some bantamweights there. Good names.”

With a 13-1 record, 1-0 in the UFC, and a OKTAGON MMA bantamweight title to his name, Felipe Lima is confident he already got what it takes to be a ranked fighter in the UFC.

“I could be in the top ten to be honest,” Lima said. “But, I need to prove that.”
