Shem Rock predicts quick finish: ”Not paid for overtime”

On Saturday, European MMA star Shem Rock is back in the cage for another high profile fight in OKTAGON MMA. This time, he will take on his rival Jaroslav Pokorny in a fight that almost reminds of a Hollywood movie.

The contrasting backgrounds of the Englishman, who spent a decade on the run and a six-month stint behind bars for a crime he did not commit, and Jaroslav Pokorny, a member of the Czech police force, is almost as interesting as the fight itself.

The rivals was scheduled to clash this past November, but the fight was cancelled after an altercation at the weigh-ins. Now, the Liverpool fighter can’t wait to finally duke it out with Pokorny.

”Fresh, bro, all good to go,” Rock tells Frontkick about his status just days ahead of the fight.

How do you see the fight play out? 

”First-round finish! Not paid for overtime,” he laughs.

UFC stars back up Shem Rock

UFC stars Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann agree that Shem Rock will finish the fight early.

”First round. Just like he did in his last fight,” Pimblett said in an Instagram video.

”Whether he chooses to knock him out or take him down and choke him – lights out Pokorny lad,” McCann predicted.
