Cage Warrior’s Nathan Fletcher recently revealed that his teammate, UFC star Paddy Pimblett, is nearly fully recovered from his ankle injury.
According to the English fighter, “The Baddy” could return to the octagon by the end of the year.
“The gym’s thriving again. Obviously, a lot of us are on this Manchester card (Cage Warriors 160), so a lot of us are preparing for that,” Fletcher recently told Violent Money TV.
“Paddy will hopefully be returning by the end of the year. There’s nothing set in stone yet but he’s back training now, so he’s near enough full recovered from his injury and I think we expect to see him hopefully back in the cage towards the end of the year.”
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Paddy Pimblett made his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini on 4 September 2021, and quickly became one of the promotion’s biggest names after three stoppage wins.
In his fourth fight in the leading MMA promotion, back in December 2022, Pimblett suffered an ankle injury as he controversially defeated Jared Gordon at UFC 292.
Outside of the world of MMA, “The Baddy” has also received a lot of attention after a powerful post-fight speech about mental health at UFC London in July 2022.
