SBG Ireland’s Ciaran Clarke says that his teammate Conor McGregor is in superb shape and hints that the former two-division UFC champion will return to action in December.
“He’s sharp. He’s just after receiving the jiu-jitsu black belt, which is well deserved because his movement and everything,” Clark recently said. “And like I said his mind, his mind for the game, he’s so sharp mentally. And again, that was something that I learned from over there. Resting when you need to, and giving 100% in every session…And as far as December, he’s gonna be really sharp, really ready for that fight.”
Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were expected to clash after coaching TUF Season 31.
However, the fight has yet to be booked, as “The Notorious” has not yet re-entered the USADA testing pool.
McGregor has still teased a December return but at this point there are no news of his possible return to UFC action.
The Irishman last stepped into the cage at UFC 264 for a trilogy fight with Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier, a fight that ended with a broken leg for McGregor.
Is his last four MMA fights, the UFC superstar has only won one, against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246 in January 2020.
