Title contender bout headlines UFC Vegas 73 with Ilir Latifi
UFC Vegas 73 is headlined by Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington.
A top-ranked women’s bantamweight bout between Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana are set to headline UFC Vegas 73 at the Apex. UFC announced the matchup Tuesday.
The five-round main event will be a rematch, as Pennington previously won a split decision over Aldana in July 2019.
The winner at UFC Vegas 73 will likely face the winner of the championship trilogy fight between UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena. The bantamweight title bout takes place at UFC 289 on June 10.
Ilir Latifi fights on the stacked card
Swedish heavyweight Ilir Latifi will also be a part of the interesting card, as he is set to face Rodrigo Nascimento in a three-round fight.
Latifi has two straight wins against tough opponents in Tanner Boser and Aleksei Oleinik, while Nascimento comes from a victory against Boser.
