In two weeks, British heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall heads over to the US to fight for the interim heavyweight title at Madison Square Garden.
The Brit will face one of the most dangerous heavyweights in the division as he’s taking on e Sergei Pavlovich.
“I think it’s gonna be a tough fight for both of us,” Aspinall said about the matchup. “You’ve gotta remember, me and Pavlovich, I’ve got the shortest fight time average in the UFC and he has the second shortest… We’re both very explosive finishers, both of us. I think I have more finishes in more positions. He obviously has a lot of power in his hands.”
No matter what happens, Aspinall is sure that he will finish the dangerous Russian fighter.
“I think I’m a lot smarter. I think my fight IQ is a lot better than a lot of the guys he’s already fought. I’m not gonna stand in front of him and have a trade-off, because it’s basically suicide if you do that with him,” Aspinall continued. “I’m gonna use my brain to win the fight and I’m gonna outsmart him.”
