Legendary UFC lightweight Tony ”El Cucuy” Ferguson never fails to surprise.
At yesterday’s UFC 291 media day, the lightweight made the reporters nervous as he pulled out a knife to prove his outdoor expertness and bear tracking skills.
After pulling together an insane 12-fight winning streak, Ferguson has lost five straight fights against top notch opponents, including Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje and Beneil Dariush.
“I’m gonna be real with you guys,” Ferguson said. “It’s always been cool, I feel at this time in my life that I’m just barely hitting my prime, which is crazy.”
On Saturday, he returns to action to face the slick boxer Bobby ”King” Green in a three-round main card lightweight bout.
“Now, I’m not going to call him a bitch-ass, but I just saw him in the lobby not too long ago,” Ferguson said about his opponent. “Mr. Flashy. It’s cool, it’s your thing, I get you. But when he saw me, he looked like he saw the fourth horseman of death. It was kind of fucking crazy.”
