This morning, No.1 ranked flyweight contender Katlyn Chookagian tipped the scales at 127.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds over the limit for a non-title flyweight fight.
At this moment, it’s not announced if Chookagian’s main card fight with Manon Fiorot will be at catchweight, and if so, how much the American will be fined for missing weight.
The featherweight bout between Zubaira Tukhugov and Lucas Almeida was scratched from UFC 280 due to a medical issue. The bout was officially announced as canceled just minutes before weigh-ins started.
Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira was first to step up at the scale and hit the mark at 154.5 pounds. His rival Islam Makhachev followed and also weighed in at 154.5.
Main event backup fighter Alexander Volkanovski also weighed in at championship weight at 155 lbs.
Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and challenger T.J. Dillashaw both weighing in at 135 pounds, making the co-main event official.
