With the UFC and WWE joining forces under one ownership group at Endeavor, a huge player in the sports and entertainment business has emerged. The massive deal was announced Monday.
Dana White will still be the president of the UFC, while Nick Khan will be president over WWE.
The new company will be overseen by CEO at Endeavor Ari Emanuel and the combined asset has a reported value at over $21 billion. Endeavor values the UFC at $12.1 billion.
“I’m the luckiest guy in the world,” Emanuel said. “Because I’ve got Vince McMahon, a visionary that sees around corners. I’ve got Dana White and what we’ve built. That’s pretty unstoppable.”
“Combined, it’s rarefied air, the two of us. I think the analysts will see it’s good for the shareholders of WWE and it’s good for the shareholders of Endeavor.”
UFC president Dana White made following statement about the UFC-WWE merger under Endeavor.
“This company has been on fire for the last seven years and now that we will add WWE to the portfolio I am excited to take this to another level. Vince [McMahon] is a savage in the wrestling space. Ari [Emanuel] is a beast at what he does and then add what we at UFC bring to the table and there is no limit to what this company can accomplish in the next few years,” White stated.
