Igor Severino is sacked by the promotion

UFC was not impressed by the bizarre move fron Igor Severino and Dana White decided to sack the fighter straight away.

“Those were two up-and-coming undefeated fighters,” White said in a text message. “If you get frustrated and want out of the fight, there are plenty of ways to do it, but the worst thing u can do is bite your opponent. Now, you get cut and lose the biggest opportunity of your life. Not to mention, he’s going to have real problems with the NSAC.”

Andre Lima got a bite mark tattoo

After the fight, Lima received a $25,000 bonus for his troubles. He decided to spend some of his money to get a tattoo to memorialize his status as the first UFC athlete to get a bonus for getting bitten inside the octagon.

As White heard about the tattoo he doubled Lima’s bonus money from $25,000 to $50,000 for the completely new octagon category of bonus: “I got fucking bit.”
