Just a few days back, UFC 284 took a big hit as the main card fight between Paulo Costa and Robert Whittaker was canceled.

Now the event takes another massive blow as the highly anticipated bout between top ranked flyweights Kai Kara-France and Alex Perez is off due to an injury.

The popular flyweight Kara-France took to social media to announce his withdrawal for the fight.

“Unfortunately due to injury, I’ve had to pull out of my up coming fight in Perth. I’m gutted I won’t be able to fight in front of everyone in Aus. To everyone who supports me, Im sorry. This has been frustrating but I know I’m making the right decision. Hopefully me and Alex Perez can run it back next year. Enjoy the holidays and stay safe. Will see you back in the Octagon 2023. Much love everyone,” Kara-France wrote.

The UFC is yet to announce Kara-France’s withdrawal from the event, and at this moment it’s not clear if Perez will remain on the card.
