UFC San Antonio results: Sandhagen too crafty for ”Chito”

UFC San Antonio just took place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
In the bantamweight headliner, Cory Sandhagen put on a great performance against Marlon ”Chito” Vera. After five rounds it looked like Sandhagen was the clear winner, however, after the judges had their say, the American stood as the winner via a debated split decision, with 47-48, 50-45 and 49-46 on the scorecards.
After the fight, Sandhagen called out No. 1 ranked Merab Dvalishvili.

Holly Holm wins in dominant fashion
In the co-main event, former bantamweight champion Holly Holm defeated Yana Santos in dominant fashion with 30-26, 30-27 and 30-27 on the scorecards.
No. 3 ranked Holm moves to 3-1 over her past four outings, and took a big step towards another title shot.

Post-fight bonuses
The 50 000 dollar Fight of the Night bonus went to the clash between CJ Vergara and Daniel Lacerda.
Nate Landwehr and Daniel Pineda picked up the 50 000 dollar Performance of the Night bonuses for ther submission wins.
