UFC Vegas 71 just took place at the Apex and was headlined by a massive heavyweight fight between top ranked Sergei Pavlovich and Curtis Blaydes.

Hard punches were exchanged early in the fight and both heavyweights landed well as they moved around the cage.

Just over three minutes into the round, Pavlovich was able to secure his sixth consecutive first-round knockout after hitting Blaydes with an uppercut before finishing the fight with heavy shots on the ground.

“Hey, where’s my belt?” Pavlovich shouted afterward. “Big respect to Curtis Blaydes, he’s great, but somebody was saying he was going to easily take me down. What are you going to say now?”

In the co-main event Bruno Silva defeated Brad Tavares via a first round TKO.

 $50,000 post-fight bonuses

Sergei Pavlovich, Bruno Silva, Christos Giagos, and Montel Jackson all earned $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses at UFC Vegas 71.
