On Friday November 18, Bellator 288 takes place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The main event features a light heavyweight title bout where champion Vadim Nemkov is set to defend his belt against former UFC fighter Corey Anderson.

The two met earlier in the year at Bellator 277 in a fight that ended in a no contest, due to an accidental clash of heads.

In the co-main event, Patricky “Pitbull” Freire will defend his lightweight title against Usman Nurmagomedov. The latter is the cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and just like Khabib, Usman is undefeated as a professional MMA fighter.
