Boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez feels like he’s back at his old great self again.

“I’m a strong fighter all the time, against all the fighters. I’m a strong man. Nobody can beat this Canelo,” he declared in the ring following this past Saturday’s victory against Jermell Charlo.

“I still love boxing. I love boxing so much. Boxing is my life. Boxing made me the person I am today. That’s why I love boxing so much. And I love boxing so much because of my fans, too.”

The Mexican superstar claimed he will be back in the ring on Cinco de Mayo 2024.

“I’ll face whoever, I don’t care!”

Canelo: “I’m the best”

Undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo didn’t get a knockout against Jermell Charlo but there was no denial who was the better boxer during the 12 rounds.

Charlo, who moved up two divisions, struggled to make the Mexican respect his power in the ring. Canelo picked his shots and unleashed heavy shots at Charlo’s head and body round after round.

After the final bell the judges scored the bout 119-108, 118-109, and 118-109 in Canelo’s favor.

“I think that’s why we fight 12 rounds,” Canelo said. “I don’t get that knockout, I get 12 rounds to show I’m the best. I’m the better fighter.”
