MMA prospect “Superman” faces nine-month suspension for cocaine!

South African MMA fighter Chad “Superman” Hanekom will be out of competition for a while.

Hanekom tested positive for cocaine near his unanimous decision loss to Dylan Budka on Dana White’s Contender Series back on September 5.

“Superman” will now serve a nine-month drug-test suspension issued by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He can return to competition after June 6, 2024.

Chad Hanekom competed in BRAVE CF

Prior to Dana White’s Contender Series, “Superman” fought seven fights in BRAVE CF, winning five.

The loss to Dylan Budka at DWSC snapped a three-fight winning streak for Chad Hanekom.

The 33-year-old represents Fight Fit Militia in Sunninghill, South Africa. All and all he’s 9-3 as a pro MMA fighter, with eight wins coming via stoppage.
