Yesterday, UFC superstar and whiskey kingpin Conor McGregor teased a “mega announcement” on his social media channels.
As McGregor was dressed up like Steve Jobs, the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple, as well as tagging @apple in the post, many believed that the MMA fighter was going to announce a colab with the multinational tech company.
However, this was not the case.
“Introducing a new revolutionary product from our storied distillery, Proper No. Twelve Irish Apple—a blend of my award-winning Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey with notes of crisp and juicy Irish apple. How do ya like them apples,” McGregor wrote on Instagram.
Conor McGregor will coach TUF alongside Michael Chandler
A few days ago, the promotion announced that the former double champion will make his return to the UFC in 2023, to coach season 31 of the TV show “The Ultimate Fighter” alongside No. 5 ranked lightweight Michael Chandler.
The pair is expected to square off in a welterweight bout later this year.
Conor McGregor is coming back from a leg injury he suffered as he faced Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. His most recent win came in January 2020 against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
