Conor McGregor will make his acting debut in the 2023 remake of the classic film ‘Road House’, alongside Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal.
According to the MMA fighter turned actor, it was him and no one else that performed his action stunts shooting the action flick.
“I was doing my own stunts,” McGregor claimed in a recent interview with Robbie Fox. “I might be a vain motherfucker because I looked at the stunt double and, ‘That motherfucker doesn’t look like me.’ I thought he was a nice guy, very nice people, but I don’t know. I couldn’t let him do anything.”
During the shooting, Conor McGregor became good friends with the Golden Globe winning actor, who has the leading role in the action movie.
The two were attending UFC 285 together, watching the fights in the front row.
“He’s a great, great guy. He was very patient with me, and I was very patient with him. We understood our skill set and what we brought to the table. A dear friend of mine now, Jake Gyllenhaal, is. We doing a great movie,” McGregor said. “I’m doing the best I could with what I had at my disposal.”
The Irish fighter is expected to return to the octagon later in 2023, to face former Bellator champion Michael Chandler in a high profile bout. Where, when and at what weight is still yet known.
