Former UFC heavyweight champion, now free agent, Francis Ngannou might go to PFL next.
That’s according to PFL’s head of European fighter relations Dan Hardy, who in a recent interview with MiddleEasy claimed that he’s almost certain that Ngannou will join the promotion in the near future.
“We’ll have Francis Ngannou in no time, coming over and fighting for it. I just feel it in my bones. I just know he’s coming,” Hardy predicted. “It makes sense.”
Francis Ngannou demands “is exactly what the PFL offers”
Hardy claimed that the rising promotion can match what the former heavyweight champion wants.
“His demands for the UFC is exactly what the PFL offers, right. So everything that he was asking for from the UFC, it’s already on the table over here, right? As long as the money is on the table alongside to match the heavyweight king’s purse, then I think he’ll be happy. And I think we can certainly do that for him.”
In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani at the MMA Hour, Francis Ngannou revealed that he made up his mind on what will be his next step.
“Without making a done deal, I know what my next move is going to be,” he said and claimed that two organizations are on his mind. “PFL and ONE FC right now, we are very close. We will see.”
