Since UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou became a free agent he received tons of proposals from both fighters and promotions.
One of the most interesting from a fight fan point of view comes from former heavyweight boxing world champion Deontay Wilder, who recently claimed to be interested in fighting Ngannou.
However, Wilder wants to face “The Predator” not just once, but twice – in both boxing and MMA.
“I even thought about this idea, though: I was like, all right, let’s make it a two-fight deal,” Wilder said in an interview with Trill Boxing Talk a while back. “Everybody always comes to boxing, but let’s do this: You come to my shit, I come to yours. You know what I’m saying? You feel me? You come to my house, I come to yours. I’m a true warrior.”
The 37-year-old heavy-hitting heavyweight is confident he will take Ngannou out in the ring, and he will do his best to be prepared for whatever could come in the cage.
“I could see it as being a beautiful thing,” Deontay Wilder said. “I’m speaking from my heart; it’s not just me thinking about the bigger picture of it. That’s just what my heart is telling me. It’s smiling when I think about this fight. It feels warm. Hopefully it comes to pass.”
