Tomorrow, Swedish former boxing world champion Elin Cederroos takes on the undefeated heavy-hitter Shadasia Green inside Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.

The pair will clash in a 10-round 168-pound championship elimination bout on the undercard of the Amanda Serrano vs. Erika Cruz fight card.

In a new interview with SVT Sport, the Swede claims to be more than ready for her anticipated return – even though she took the fight on very short notice.

“I’m ready. My body responded very well preparing for the fight,” Cederroos said. “I got the offer to fight just three weeks ago, so it’s been a short camp. But I’ve been training since my last fight, so when we put on a higher pace these last two and a half weeks, my body responded well, and the sparring has been good.”

Elin Cederroos: “The pressure is on her”

The Swedish former world champion has a professional record of 8-1, with four wins by knockout, while Shadasia Green enters the ring with a perfect record of 11-0, with eight straight KO-wins.

However, even tough she’s coming from a title loss, Elin Cederroos seemed calm going into the high-stakes fight.

“There’s no pressure on me, all the pressure is on her. She just signed with a big promoter.”
