Swedish MMA fighter Oliver Enkamp was scheduled to clash with Luca Poclit at Bellator 291 on February 25, but recently announced in an Instagram post that he was forced to pull out of the bout.
In an exclusive comment to Frontkick, the Swedish welterweight opens up on the unfortunate withdrawal.
“I injured my elbow and x-rayed it last Tuesday. The results showed loose pieces of bone in the elbow that need to be removed. So that’s why the fight won’t happen,” Enkamp says. “I will try to get rebooked for the Bellator event in Paris on May 12, if I’m lucky!”
Bellator 291 takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, and is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Yaroslav Amosov and interim champion Logan Storley.

“I’m unfortunate to announce that my scheduled Bellator fight on the 25th of February will not take place due to injury. Since Bellator hasn’t officially cancelled it yet I feel obliged to let you know – since some of you followers are expecting to see me there.
Circumstances seems to have other plans for me at the moment – but I will come back stronger and hope to reschedule a new date not too far in the future.
As I often state: ”we can’t control what happens too us, but we can control how we react do it” – so now I decide to focus on what is in my control, which is making the best and quickest possible comeback while retaining a positive attitude for the future! As always I sincerely appreciate your support.
Thanks for steadily encouraging, liking & commenting on my posts! Lucky to have the best supporters in the game.”
