Swedish IMMAF world champion Hanna Palmqvist just made her pro debut at ONE Friday Fights 61. She faced United Kingdom’s Chloe Cooke in a atomweight fight at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Swede started the fight with a dominant first round. After hitting her British opponent with good straight punches, the fight took to the ground where Palmqvist landed good ground-and-pound.
In the second round, Cooke was able to take the Swede’s back and threated with submission attempts during the round. However, Palmqvist defended well and was able to survive.
It was arguably 1-1 going into the third round. Palmqvist found her distance and poured it on with good straight punches and kicks. Over and over, the Swede found her mark with her heavy right hand, and Cooke had no answer.
After three tough rounds of action, Hanna Palmqvist finally stood as the winner. What a pro debut by the Swede!
The Swede won the 2023 IMMAF world championships after a string of impressive performances.
Palmvist represents GBG MAC and trains with talents like IMMAF world Champ Nikolija Milosevic and veteran Cornelia Holm who fought in PFL and OKTAGON MMA.
