World famous Hollywood actor Tom Hardy is not only a fighter on the screen, he’s competing in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as well.

At the recent REORG Open Jiu-jitsu Championship at Aldersley Leisure Village, the three-stripe blue belt Hardy secured gold medals in both gi and no-gi competition.

Trained BJJ for his role in The Warrior

Tom Hardy began training in BJJ more than a decade ago, while he was preparing for his major role in the acclaimed MMA-movie Warrior.

The 44-year-old British actor is perhaps most famous for his role as Bane in the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” and Eddie Brock in “Venom”. He also made memorable roles as the bootlegger Forrest Bondurant in “Lawless”, and as the murderous John Fitzgerald in “The Revenant”, where he worked with Leonardo DiCaprio.
