YouTuber turned pro boxer Jake Paul just faced Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in a boxing bout in Arizona.
After a slow first round, the eight-round fight turned out to be a back-and-forth battle, where 47-year-old Silva pushed his younger opponent as much as he could. In the final round. Silva came out strong, but after 30 seconds, Paul landed a heavy punch that dropped the Brazilian striker to the canvas.
In the end, the Jake Paul stood as the winner via unanimous decision with the judges scoring the fight 77-74, 78-73, 78-73. With the win, the “Problem Child” is still undefeated with a record of 6-0.
After the win, Jake Paul was clear on who he wants to fight next.
“I want Nate Diaz, who’s a bitch,” Paul said. “He tried to come into my locker room. He tried to cause some shit. Then he always leaves the fucking arena. So Nate Diaz, stop being a bitch and fight me.”
Diaz was in the arena to support his teammate and friend Chris Avila, but ended up being involved in some backstage scuffle with Paul’s team, for reasons not known.
The former UFC champion also took to the microphone after the fight, and gave his thoughts on the loss.
“Listen, it’s tough to come inside here and fight with a young kid,” Silva said. “I tried to do my best. I’m training hard every day. Jake is better than me today. I don’t have anything bad to say about my opponent. I think everybody needs to respect this kid, because he’s doing the best job.”
