ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently went live on Facebook for an hour-long fan Q&A session.
During the session he revealed some highly interesting news for Muay Thai fans all over the world.
“Jonathan Haggerty will defend his title. I talked to him last night and he said he wanted to come back this September. I am not sure if it will be in England or somewhere else. Maybe it will be Nong-O or Rodtang. It will depend on Haggerty, Sityodtong said. (Translated to English by Beyond Kick.)
“Additionally, he wants to fight Harrison at Wembley Stadium in the UK. We are currently checking on this in the UK if this is possible.”
After a successful run at flyweight, Jonathan Haggerty moved up a weight class and took on ONE bantamweight champion Nong-O Hama in April 2023.
The young Brit was an underdog going into the ring, but lived up to the moment as he put on a performance of a lifetime.
Haggerty was on the hunt from the start, scoring a knockdown early, before eventually knocking out Nong-O Hama in brutal fashion to claim the ONE Championship bantamweight title.
