ONE Friday Fights 22 just took place at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.
Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Nabil Anane met in the main event – which had all the makings of a great match up. Anane was one of the most avoided fighters in the division with an insane height an reach advantage over his opponents. Superlek did everything in his power to negate the reach of his opponent, cutting the distance and firing off punishing leg kicks whenever he could. After weakening his opponents legs Superlek landed a hellacious straight right to the body that sent Anane crashing to the canvas.
Superlek went on to call out Jonathan Haggerty after his big win.
Two of Thailand’s most dangerous strikers – superstar Prajanchai PK Saenchai and legendary veteran Sam-A Gaiyanghadao – clashed in rematch for the interim strawweight Muay Thai world title. While their first meeting was a close affair, the rematch was anything but. Prajanchai was like a man possessed, putting on heavy pressure and constantly pressing forward. In the second round Prajanchai landed a heavy straight shot that dropped Sam-A. While Sam-A was able to continue Prajanchai overwhelmed him with strikes, eventually landing a vicious elbow that face planted the veteran.
ONE heavyweight champion Arjan Bhullar collided with interim titleholder Anatoly Malykhin. In the end the Russian Malykhin proved to powerful for Bhullar and went on to secure a thrid round KTO win in a dominant performance.
