The former UFC fighter turned bare knuckle boxer Paige VanZant is not done with fighting.
Even though she’s been out of any kind of MMA action for more than three years, the fighter and model has not completely closed the door for a return to mixed martial arts.
“If I were to do MMA again, it would be definitely with the PFL,” VanZant recently told MMA Fighting. “I love how they treat everybody, the organization is incredible. I’ve been loving doing commentary work for them and doing behind the scenes just because I like being on camera. So I’ve been having fun with that, but I do believe as of right now, I mean, just in my mind, if I were to do MMA it would be with the PFL.”
In August 2020, Paige VanZant signed a four-fight contract to compete exclusively in the bare knuckle boxing promotion BKFC, a deal reportedly worth over $1 million.
At the moment she’s 0-2 in BKFC after losing via unanimous decision to Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich in 2021, but vows to return to boxing in the future.
“I don’t know if it’s down the road in six months, down the road in a year, I really just haven’t decided yet,” VanZant said. “I’m going to leave a lot of that up to my manager and my coaches, and just work on this time to get better, enjoy the training and not worry about signing a fight contract.”
“I love bare knuckle boxing. I now have gotten 10 rounds in bareknuckle boxing, and I’m searching for that victory.”
