This is what we know about superstar Ryan Garcia’s return in December

International superstar Ryan Garcia will make his highly anticipated return to the ring in December for a junior welterweight clash with Mexican boxer Oscar Duarte.
The fight will take place at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and will be broadcasted by DAZN.
“Let’s go! I am so excited to announce that I will be fighting Oscar Duarte on December 2,” Garcia said about the matchup. “I’m back and feeling better and stronger than before.”
“I wanted Duarte for me and for the fans. He’s tough and I’m ready to give people another show at my best weight again. “Say whatever you want about Ryan Garcia, but I’m always going to give the fans what they want. Love you. See you December 2 on DAZN. Location and ticketing will be announced soon.”

“Proper fight” for Ryan Garcia
Ryan Garcia is looking to rebound from his career-first loss to Gervonta Davis earlier this year. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya recently talked to ESPN about the fight and claimed it’s a perfect fight for the 25-year-old superstar.
“Here you have a guy [Duarte] who’s coming off 11 KOs in a row,” De La Hoya said. “There’s a guy who’s a power puncher who’s going to come forward and make Ryan fight. It’s the proper fight after a knockout loss to Gervonta.”
The dangerous power-puncher Oscar Duarte feels like the fight is a massive chance to show the world what he’s made of.
“I feel very happy and full of enthusiasm now that this fight against Ryan Garcia has been finalized. This is the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Duarte.
