Covington won’t back down from threats against Jon Anik: ”No one’s safe in this business”
Publicerat

A week ago, former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington made headlines as he threatened UFC commentator Jon Anik.
Big parts of the MMA community thought that Covington crossed a line with his comments, and many UFC fighters came to Anik’s aid.
However, recently visiting Michael Bisping’s Believe You Me podcast, the welterweight did not back down over his threats against the popular commentator.
”Mike, you know like, I guess Jon found out that the stove can be really hot, maybe you shouldn’t touch it,” Covington said. ’So, you know, I tell everybody the same thing, when the train’s coming through, you know, you better get off the tracks or you’re gonna get run over, it is what it is.”
”No one’s safe in this business Mike, like everyone that wants to comment and drag me down, they don’t know what I’ve been through, they don’t know how hard I work every day to stay at this level and at the top of the game. If you come for the king, the king’s going to have to have a response.”

Colby Covington has not competed in more than a year
Besides a dominant unanimous decision win against rival Jorge Masvidal in March last year, Colby Covington was inactive in 2022 and kept a unusually low profile.
Now, with Leon Edwards cementing his position as the welterweight champion, ”Chaos” is back to his loud self and wants to fight for the title for a third time.
