Top ranked welterweight contender Colby Covington recently sent death threats to Jon Anik, following his words on Belal Muhammad missing out on the stand-in postition for the welterweight title bout at UFC 286 in London.

“Jon Anik, dude, I don’t want your kids to grow up without a dad, just realize you live in Boca, I live in Miami motherfucker, you’re not too far from me, so you better shut your fucking mouth,” Covington said in a interview.

After the serious threats, the popular UFC commentator recived massive support from the MMA community, including UFC middleweight veteran Gerald Meerschaert who’s willing to risk his skin for Anik.

“For clarity [Belal Muhammad] is not racist and is one of the kindest most genuine human beings I know. And [Jon Anik] I’m in SoFlo and on the Miami card. If any unsavory characters in or out of the UFC actually approach you, hit me up and I’ll take out the trash for ya,” Meerschaert wrote in a recent tweet.
