Dana White has compared the atmosphere at the recent UFC 273 to when Conor McGregor fought in his homeland of Ireland at UFC Dublin.

According to the UFC boss, the buzz during the fight between Swedish breakout superstar Khamzat Chimaev and top ranked contender Gilbert Burns was “literally insane”.

“Off the top of my head, Khamzat vs. Burns. It was fucking insane. Literally insane. The only thing that came close to being as loud as that was, was when Conor [McGregor] fought in Ireland that time. It was awesome. There’s no other sporting event that gives you that kind of feeling,” White told TorchPro.

“If you go live, it (UFC) is the most exciting live sporting event you will ever see. I guarantee it. Nobody ever walks out of our events thinking they never want to see that again. And if you’re at home watching it with your friends or you’re at a bar watching it, you don’t get a better television experience,” White continued.

Khamzat Chimaev beat Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision after a real barn burner, and thereby extended his undefeated professional record to eleven straight victories. The fight between the top welterweights has already been labeled a strong contender for “Fight of the Year” according to many fans and pundits.
