The two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison can’t wait to test herself in the UFC.
The judoka and PFL MMA champion will take on former bantamweight champion and pro boxer Holly Holm in her debut at UFC 300.
Harrison recently took to Instagram to comment on the challenge and share a teaser video.
“When I started competing, my goal was to be the best…the Olympic champion of MMA. The UFC presents me with the opportunity to be just that. It’s been an amazing journey to reach this point, and I’m grateful for every step along the path,” Harrison wrote..
“The highs and lows have all shaped me and made me an even better version of myself. God’s timing is perfect, and I am sure of one thing: My time is now. Let’s goooooo!”
Having competed at lightweight and featherweight throughout her MMA career, many fans and experts doubt that Kayla Harrison will be successful in her attempt to reach the bantamweight limit of 136 lbs for the first time.
The former PFL champion has a 16-1 record with her only career loss coming in a major upset to Larissa Pacheco in the 2022 PFL Championship final.
Ex UFC bantamweight champ Holly Holm is a former multiple-time world champion in boxing, defending her titles 18 times in three weight classes.
