Khalil Rountree Jr suffered a tough loss against light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at last night’s UFC 307 in Salt Lake City.
The challenger looked sharp and put on a great fight in the starting rounds, hitting the champ with several good shots, including a right hook that rocked the Brazilian.
However, Pereira took over more and more and in the fourth round, he put a beating on Rountree Jr that the MMA fans will remember for a long time.
Even though Rountree Jr fell short, he showed tons of heart and proved that he was a worthy contender for the 205 lbs strap. Following the fight, the challenger was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
