Swedish AFN amateur champion Liam Pitts will finally make his long-awaited pro debut in October. One who has high hopes on Pitts is Allstar Training Center coach Mohammad Babadivand.
“Liam is the next Alexander Gustafsson. He will be in the UFC within three years. He’s still very young,” Babivand said in an interview with Swedish MMA reporter Tony Nguyen.
Liam Pitts will take on Brandon Najera
Liam Pitts is a former wrestling champion who also represented Sweden in the IMMAF World Championships in 2023. Pitts made his MMA debut in February 2022 and is still undefeated as a amateur MMA fighter.
His next opponent is Brandon Najera from Guatemala. They will clash in a pro bout at the upcoming Allstars Fight Night 8 on October 19.
Back in March, Pitts talked with Frontkick about his future as a fighter.
“I’m open for anything. From AFN straight into the UFC sounds great, but I’m open to fight for other organizations around the world too.”
