On Friday April 14, PFL returns with a stacked event at the Theater at Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas.
In the main event, the 2022 lightweight champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier returns to action to take on former ranked UFC featherweight Shane Burgos in his PFL debut.
The popular Burgos left the UFC with a promotional record of 8-3, and back-to-back wins against Billy Quarantillo and Charles Jourdain, and has a chance of making a statement if he beats last year’s champion in his first PFL fight.
Welterweight champion Sadibou Sy returns
In the co-main event, the 2022 PFL welterweight champion Sadibou Sy will take on fellow striker Jarrah Al-Silawi.
Sy won the tournament last year with four straight wins. In an exclusive interview with Frontkick a while back, the Swede gave his thoughts on his first PFL fight of 2023.
“Al-Silawi is a good matchup for me and I see things and tendencies I can capitalize on. My speed and reach will make the difference. This fight will be a statement for the rest of the division if I play my cards right,” Sy said.
