Swedish-Afghan standout Sahil Siraj is set to make his debut for one of the leading European MMA organizations. In less than two weeks, he’ll take on well-known Polish fighter Lukasz Rajewski at KSW 78 on January 21.
The welterweight bout was alluded to by Siraj’s manager in an exclusive interview with Frontkick.online, and subsequently confirmed by multiple sources. It’s expected to be made official by the promotion shortly.
“He’s fighting a very tough Polish guy, a very famous Polish fighter in KSW,” Shammas said about the upcoming fight. (…) “That’s a good fight for Sahil Siraj. He’s on a good win streak. This is his year. He’s gonna end up doing big things this year.”
Sahil Siraj has won his last two fights in just 1 minute and 23 seconds combined
Sahil Siraj has won two fights in a row by vicious knockouts. In November of 2021, he KO’d Poland’s Lukasz Swirydowicz in just 27 seconds at Bulldog Fight Night 9 in Gothenburg, Sweden. After being out for just over a year, he then returned to competition at last month’s Superior Challenge 25 in Stockholm where he finished Brazilian fighter Maycon Bezerra after one minute in the first round.
Siraj currently has a professional record of 7-1 with his lone loss coming by way of a controversial split decision. Six of his victories is T/KO finishes and he also holds a single decision win.
