UFC adds another hyped Irish fighter to the roster as they signed undefeated strawweight prospect Shauna Bannon.
The 29-year-old strawweight will be the second Irish woman to ever compete inside the octagon.
“I can finally announce I am now a [UFC fighter]. So grateful for everyone who had a part in me getting here over my 25 years in martial arts. We have had many ups and downs lots of highs and lows and I am now reaching a huge milestone in my career,” Bannon wrote on social media. “I may be doing this a long time but believe me when I say this is only the start.”
Shanua Bannon has an undefeated pro record of 5-0 and comes from a win in March when she defeated Minna Grusander by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 52.
According to her Instagram, the Irish 29-year-old will make her promotional debut at UFC London on July 22. So far neither the fight nor opponent is confirmed by the UFC.
