Swedish-Iraqi bantamweight Ali Taleb has been putting on one impressive performance after another since turning pro. Now, it looks like a fight for the UAE Warriors title awaits him next.

According to Phoenix Sports Management, who manages Taleb, the 6-0 standout recently signed his bout agreement to take on the reigning bantamweight champion Vinicius de Oliveira at UAE Warriors 30. The event goes down in the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi on June 18th and will be broadcasted live on UFC Fight Pass.

The title bout has not yet been made official by the promotion. However, Oliveira’s coach has previously stated on Instagram that he will defend his title on June 18th.

Ali Taleb is one of the hottest MMA prospects in Sweden

Taleb, who lives in Malmö, was just featured as Sweden’s fifth hottest MMA prospect right now in a recent article on Frontkick. Looking at The Official Swedish MMA Rankings, he currently sits at No. 2 in the bantamweight division.

The explosive Redline Training Center representative started off his professional run with two impressive performances in Scandinavia’s leading MMA promotion Fight Club Rush. From there, he went on to sign for UAE Warriors where he’s gone 4-0 so far including with three finishes.

In his most recent bout, Taleb submitted Egyptian fighter Mahmoud Mando with a first-round guillotine choke back in February.

The champion Oliveira will undoubtably be Taleb’s toughest test to date. He has a 17-2 pro record and is currently riding a six-fight win streak, including four victories in the UAE Warriors cage. The Brazilian won the promotions bantamweight strap by knocking out Canada’s Xavier Alaoui with a nasty head kick and then made a successful title defence by tapping out Sylvester Chipfumbu of Zimbabwe with a rear-naked choke in his most recent bout last October.
