This upcoming Saturday’s OKTAGON 62 will be one for the books!

The fights will go down at the Deutsche Bank Park Stadium, which has a capacity of over 50,000 spectators. The event features one of the best European MMA cards of 2024, including two title bouts and an epic derby in the main event.

Let’s take a closer look at six fights you just can’t miss at OKTAGON 62!

Kincl vs. Engizek

Be sure not to miss Patrik Kincl’s fifth battle for the championship title!

This time the Czech will face Germany’s top middleweight Kerim Engizek who has been undefeated for a decade. Engizek has 13 straight wins, 11 via stoppage, and presents one of the toughest fights ever for Kincl.

What makes this fight even more special is a challenger fighting on his hometurf, against a seasoned and skilled champion. If Engizek wins the fight, the 60.000 fans will go absolutely crazy at Deutsche Bank Park Stadium.

Nafuka vs. Topallaj

This is a battle between two of Germany’s greatest talents. Hafeni ”The Namibian Nightmare” Nafuka will take on the undefeated prospect Arijan Topallaj in a lightweight bout.

Both fighters are known for their impressive finish ratio. Nafuka has eight stoppages in nine wins, while Topallaj’s all seven wins came in the first round.

For all MMA fans with an interest in watching tomorrow’s stars in the early stages of their careers, be sure to watch this fight!

Dalisda vs. Martin

Strawweight champion Katharina Dalisda is the first German woman to win a title in OKTAGON MMA. Undefeated for nearly three years, she’s one of the best strawweights the continent ever produced.

On Saturday, she will defend her strap against USA’s Mallory Martin in a long-awaited rematch. The 2022 fight was a close one, and everything points towards another great fight on Saturday.

Martin has everything to win as she gets the chance to avenge her loss and become an OKTAGON champion. An interesting fight indeed!

Eckerlin vs. Jungwirth

’Battle for the King of Germany’! That says it all.

A derby between Frankfurt and Stuttgart, with two of the biggest German MMA stars of today, is bound to be an absolutely crazy fight.

As much as I look forward to the fight itself, the surroundings are just as interesting in this matchup. The emotions will reach a boiling point as Christian Eckerlin and Christian Jungwirth make their ways to the cage. Whoever wins, it will be a moment the German MMA fans will remember for a long, long time.

Machaev vs. Hendin

Top ranked featherweights Mago Machaev and James Hendin will square off in a very interesting matchup. We recently saw Machaev perform in the Tipsport Gamechanger at lightweight. As he looked powerful at 155 lbs, he will be an absolute beast at featherweight with the right weight cut.

Hendin fought mainly in Cage Warriors, where he won seven of his nine fights, only losing to European MMA stars Jordan Vucenic and Paul Hughes. After a massive performance in his OKTAGON debut, it will be more than interesting to see him take on a powerful fighter as Machaev.

This fight is impossible to predict, but I have a hard time seeing it go all three rounds, whoever wins it in the end.

Holzer vs. Trabelsi

The 22-year-old rising featherweight star Max Holzer is undefeated with a 8-0 record. Both his previous OKTAGON bouts ended in the second round, and he has looked more or less unstoppable in his four years as a pro. On Saturday he will try to stop the tough promotional debutant Mohammed Trabelsi in his tracks.

I think the young Holzer has got what it takes to become a European MMA star in the next couple of years and I’m stoked to follow his promising career.
