Champion Andreas Ståhl faces ex-Bellator fighter at Battle of Bottnia 8

Earlier today, Frontkick reported that welterweight champion Andreas Ståhl’s opponent Max Denner pulled out of the scheduled title defense on December 9.

The promotion just announced that former Bellator MMA and OKTAGON MMA fighter Kirill Medvedovsky has accepted the fight on short notice.

The Israeli grappling specialist has a black belt in BJJ and rides a seven-fight losing skid.

Battle of Botnia 8 with Andreas Ståhl

Battle of Botnia 8 will take place on December 9 at Thorén Arena in Umeå.

Besides the welterweight title bout, the Umeå crowd will see their home town hero Fernando ”El Toro” Flores take one Aridane Romero Rodriguez in the co-main event of the evening.

The Battle of Botnia 8 fight card also features an interesting amateur fight where National Team fighter Astrid Vikgren will take on seasoned striker Linnea Sundberg.
