’The Destroyer’ is more than ready for clash against Cage Warriors title contender: ”A good test”

On Saturday December 10, Swdish bantamweight Bartosz ”The Destroyer” Wojcikiewicz will step into the cage to headline Superior Challenge 25.
The 28-year-old Superior veteran was originally scheduled to face Darko Banovic, but due to an unfortunate injury, Banovic was replaced by Carlos Abreu Souza on short notice.
Recently visiting Swedish fighting podcast Käftsmällspodden, ”The Destroyer” opened up on the last minute change.
”The worst part is to hear that your opponent is pulling out. Then you have no idea if you will fight at all,” Wojcikiewicz said. ”When you get a new opponent, then you know that the fight will happen and that feeling is better. As long as I have an opponent I’m happy.” (Translated from Swedish by Frontkick)
”Personally, I think he is better than Darko on paper, he fought for the Cage Warriors title and faced a lot of great fighters. It will be a good test for me. A step forward,” Wojcikiewicz said. ”He takes the fight on two weeks’ notice, we’ll see what shape he will be in, personally I think it’s hard to get in good shape in two weeks. I will be focused and not underestimate my opponent.”

Bartosz Wojcikiewicz learned a lot in the States
Preparing for the upcoming headliner, ”The Destroyer” went to the well regarded American MMA gym Kill Cliff FC, where he trained with top athletes from all major promotions.
”We had MMA wrestling with Nik Lentz, striking with Henry Hooft, wrestling with Craig Jones. I learned a lot, and got tons of good sparring done. Loads and loads of rounds with tons of different fighters,” Wojcikiewicz said.
However, the weeks in Florida was not only to become a better version of himself – but also a way to give back to his beloved MMA gym Forca Fighting in Stockholm.
”They built me up from the start as a fighter, so I will always be there to train whatever happens. They always got my back and cared for me as a person, not only as a fighter,” Wojcikiewicz said.
”I will definitely go abroad to find new challenges to develop more, like I did at Kill Cliff in the States, and bring it back to the guys at the gym and inspire them to level up.”
