Bellator 300 results. Bellator

The stacked Bellator 300 card just took place at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.

The card was headlined by a lightweight championship bout between Usman Nurmagomedov and Brent Primus. The fight would end up being quite one-sided, with Nurmagomedov winning every single round on every single judges scorecards. It wasn’t the most crowd-friendly performance from Nurmagomedov, who played it somewhat safe throughout, though clearly edging out Primus wherever the fight went.

The card also featured a women’s featherweight title fight between champion Cris Cyborg and Cat Zingano. The fight would not need the judges as Cyborg stopped a takedown attempt from Zingano with a vicious shot that dropped the American. After following up with strikes on the ground the fight was over in the first round.

In the third title bout of the evening, women’s flyweight champion Liz Carmouche clashed with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane. The fight had a very slow start, with neither fighter properly engaging despite the referees encouragement.

In the third round Carmouche began landing leg kicks that Macfarlane hs issues defending. The leg kicks began adding up, having a clear effect on Macfarlane. Eventually, early in the fifth round, the leg kicks were too much for Macfarlane to handle, she went down, couldn’t continue and Carmouche accomplished a successful title defense.
