American television network TBS has decided to postpone the premiere of TV show Dana White’s Power Slap League. The debated league is UFC-backed and partially owned by the UFC president.
The show was meant to premiere on January 11, but after the footage of Dana White’s domestic violence incident was recently released by TMZ, it seems like the show will be pushed back a week to January 18.
”Per a UFC official, Dana White Power Slap league’s debut on TBS has been pushed back one week to Jan. 18. Still no response on a request for comment to TBS on the matter,” ESPN’s Brett Okamoto recently tweetet.

White planned to launch Power Slap League after it made success on social media, and the Nevada State Athletic Commission recently sanctioned slap fighting which gave green light to his plans.
A while back the UFC president announced that a deal with TBS to broadcast Power Slap League was in place, and the show was going to be filmed at the UFC’s APEX venue in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Look at the numbers this stuff pulls. It’s perfect for social media. You couldn’t have a more perfect product for social media. We believe it will be strong on television, too,” Dana White said about slap fighting a while back.
