Former UFC fighter Darren Till (0-0) will make his pro boxing debut on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing card. That’s according to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
The six-round bout will air live on Netflix on July 20 and will take place at AT&T Stadium.
Till is scheduled to take on veteran boxer and former WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (53-6-1, 1 NC).
As a UFC fighter, Darren Till challenged for the welterweight championship back in September 2018. He lost to Tyron Woodley via a second-round submission.
Since then, Till only won one fight, a split decision against Kelvin Gastelum, in 2019.
On 28 February 2023, it was revealed that Till was released from the UFC after requesting to be let go to pursue other interests. This will be his first fight since.
Julio César Chávez Jr. held the WBC middleweight title from 2011 to 2012, and is the son of former three-division boxing world champion Julio César Chávez.
