Swedish reality-TV star makes MMA pro debut at 40: ”I’m living the dream”

Erik Wahrolen might be most known to the public as a contestant in the Reality TV-show ’Robinson’, but the Swede is also a skilled amateur MMA fighter with three straight wins.

In his most recent outing, he put on a dominant performance to earn a unanimous decision over Enrique Parrague at Fight Club Rush 16.

In a recent episode of Sweden’s leading fighting podcast, Käftsmällspodden, Wahrolen opened up about his upcoming pro debut at FCR 17 in September.

”Can I be a bit cocky? When I spoke to FCR I said ’give me the toughest and best’, I have no time for anything else,” Wahrolen said.

There’s a good reason behind the Swedish fighter’s desire to face the toughest possible opposition in his pro debut.

”I’m 40 years old. Whatever happens in this game it will be fun. If I get knocked out – ”blaze of glory”, Wahrolen said.

”I’m living the dream. If you got to fight now, and your body holds up and you have a hype from Robinson [Swedish reality TV-show] wouldn’t you do it? Why not?! You will be in the media, du feel good, your body holds up, why not? Who would have a start like that of his pro career?”

Erik Wahrolen is confident in his abilities as a fighter and his toughness ahead of FCR 17.

”You won’t get me out of there unless I’m unconscious. Everyone who fights me should be aware of that.”

”Do the Jake Paul-thing”

The TV-star could see himself put on bigger gloves to fight in the squared circle as well, if the money and opponent is right.

”If there’s any influencer out there looking for a fight, who wants to box, build a bigger platform, do it for real and make some money– let’s go, I will fight! Do you want to box, do the Jake Paul-thing, make money on a semi-good fighter, let’s go!”
