Benjamin Hajijan lost tough split decision
Junior featherweight Benjamin Hajijan took on Andrii Stoian from Ukraine in the semifinals.
After three tough and even rounds, where both fighters found success, the Ukrainian stood as the winner by split decision. Tough loss for the Swede who showed both skills and heart during the tournament.

Astrid Vikgren is ready for the finals
Junior flyweight Astrid Vikgren faced Tea Aresu from Bulgaria in the tournament’s semifinals. After three even rounds, where both fighters had their moments, the judges saw Vikren as the winner by split decision.
She will now face Ukraine’s Anastasiia Holinko in the junior flyweight finals.

Arsen Tuganov lost tough fight
Swedish flyweight Arsen Tuganov faced Artem Melkumian from Ukraine in the tournament’s quarterfinals. The two first rounds were tough and even, where both the combatants had strong moments on the mat and standing. However, in the third round, Melkumian was able to secure the win by TKO.

Daniyal Shamkhalov dominates on the feet
In the featherweight quarterfinals, Daniyal Shamkhalov faced Mika Rasanen from Finland. Shamkhalov showed skills in his standup game, and was able to fight well on distance, landing both slick punches and solid kicks. After three rounds the Swede stood as the winner via unanimous decision.
Shamkhalov will face Ammar Mazri from France in the featherweight semifinals.

Tough submission defeat for Daniel Karlsson
In the light heavyweight quarterfinals, Swedish Daniel Karlsson faced Dzevad Baltic from Serbia. However, the fight barely got started before Baltic was able to catch Karlsson in a guillotine choke that ended the fight.

Hanna Palmquist puts on a solid performance
Swedish flyweight Hanna Palmquist faced Sonja Pohjalainen from Finland in the quarterfinals. In a gruelling bout that went the distance, Palmquist was the dominating force and controlled most parts of the fight. In the end the Swede stood as the winner on all three judges’ scorecards.
Solid performance by Palmquist who will face Marta Pankiv from Ukraine in the semifinals.

Nikolija Milosevic wins via second-round TKO
The reigning bantamweight world champion Nikolija Milosevic faced Mercedes Custodio Lopez from Spain in the tournament’s quarterfinals.
In the first round, Milosevic landed solid knees in the clinch. In the second round, the Swede was able to take her opponents back to land heavy shots, and eventually, she won the fight by TKO.
Milosevic, who represents GBG Mac, will face Giulia Grossi from Italy in the bantamweight semifinals.

Robin Larsson loses gruelling fight
Swedish heavyweight Robin Larsson faced Nell Ariano from France in the quarterfinals.
In the first round, Larsson targeted his opponents legs but Ariano landed the better shots and was able to secure a takedown. The second round was closer, and by the end of round three, Larsson scored a takedown and landed some ground and pound. However, after the bell, Ariano stood as the winner via unanimous decision.

Josefine Modig loses razor-thin split decision
Swedish strawweight Josefine Modig took on Magdalena Czaban from Poland in the quarterfinals.
The high paced and even fight showed high level striking and grappling from perhaps the two best strawweights in the tournament. In the end, Czaban got the win by split decision, but the fight could have gone either way.
