The time for the trilogy is finally here!

Besides being one of the absolute best fights to make in the UFC whatsoever, there are really no other options for either Amanda Nunes or Valentina Shevchenko. Since the rivals last fought in 2017, Amanda Nunes crushed the opposition in both bantamweight and featherweight, while Valentina Shevchenko defeated nine opponents, including seven flyweight title defenses.

Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueriedo 4

A fourth bout between interim flyweight champion Brandon Moreno and champion Deiveson Figueiredo seems inevitable after the former’s TKO-win over Kai Kara-France. The rivals fought three times, resulting in one win each and one draw – and both fighters seemed up for a fourth bout later this year.

“It’s one of those unique freaky deals, who doesn’t want to see that fight again,” Dana White said at yesterday’s UFC 277 post-fight press conference.

Julianna Peña vs. Ketlen Viera

Even though Julianna Peña fought her heart out at UFC 277, it’s hard to argue that it would make sense to put her in an immediate rematch with Amanda Nunes.

However, No. 2 ranked Ketlen Viera could be a good next opponent for Peña. Coming off a debated split decision win over Holly Holm in May, Viera seems like the most likely opponent within the top of the division.

Since No. 2 ranked Kai Kara-France lost the interim flyweight title bout, and No. 4 ranked Alexandre Pantoja defeated Alex Perez via a first-round submission, it makes sense to have them both fight next.

The winner could potentially fight the winner from Moreno vs. Figueiredo 4 for the flyweight title in 2023.
