Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and rival Alex Pereira agreed to fight in the aftermath of UFC 276. Right after defeating Jared Cannonier, Adesanya wasted no time calling out his former kickboxing rival, who fought earlier on the card.
”Look we know who’s next,” Adesanya said in the octagon.
“Whenever he’s ready,” Pereira replied at the post fight pressconference.
The Brazilian kickboxer, who finished Sean Strickland with a beautiful left hook, was not impressed by Adesanya’s performance at UFC 276.
“It did not excite me, and it did not excite the crowd,” Pereira said after the title fight. “I was very sad to see that. I hope when we fight he do a better fight than that. But for sure I am going make him fight to give it a better show to the crowd.”

The bantamweight bout between Pedro Munhoz and Sean O’Malley sadly ended in a no-contest after the second-round eye poke from ”Sugar”. However, the first round was very even, two of the three judges gave it to Munhoz. Something that O’Malley did not agree with.
”I was dominating that fight,” O’Malley said at the post fight presser. ”I checked every one of his leg kicks. I could feel his shins cracking. Every time he’d throw a kick, I’d check it and I could tell it would hurt him. I didn’t get hit one time. I was dominating that fight. I was piecing him up. I was finding my range. It sucked.”
Looks like a rematch is inevitable!
